Since 2020, we've been helping everyday people in South Auckland find their voice. Your first visit is completely free. Come as a guest, grab a seat, and experience what a supportive speaking environment feels like.
Your first night, step by step

Arrive & Connect
Walk in and receive a warm welcome from our friendly members. Find yourself a comfortable seat and introduce yourself to a few people. Everyone remembers their first visit and we'll make sure you feel right at home.
7:00 PM
Meeting Begins
Our Sergeant at Arms calls the meeting to order, followed by a presidential welcome and a joke to kick things off. You'll meet the Toastmaster of the Evening who runs the show, plus helpful roles like the Grammarian who introduces a fun "word of the day." As a guest, you have one job: sit back and enjoy.

Inspiring Speeches
Watch three members deliver prepared speeches, each lasting 5 to 7 minutes. You'll see speakers at all experience levels, from nervous first-timers to seasoned presenters. After each speech, an Evaluator provides supportive, constructive feedback.
8:00 PM
Supper Break
Time for delicious food provided by one of our members! This relaxed break is perfect for chatting informally, asking questions about the club, and getting to know people without any structure.
8:15 PM
Table Topics
This is impromptu speaking practice where members respond to surprise questions for 1 to 2 minutes each. As a guest, you can absolutely sit this one out. Just watch and enjoy!
9:00 PM
Meeting Ends
The meeting wraps up with awards for best speaker, best evaluator, and best Table Topic. We'll invite you to share your thoughts on the evening if you'd like (no pressure!), and you'll learn about how to join if you're interested.

Common Questions
Absolutely not. As a guest, you're welcome to simply observe. There's no pressure to participate — just sit back, watch, and see what we're all about.
Everyone feels that way the first time. Our members remember what it was like, and someone will greet you at the door and help you find a seat. You won't be left standing awkwardly.
Whatever you're comfortable in.
About two hours (7pm–9pm), but you're welcome to leave early if you need to. There's a natural break around 8pm for tea and coffee.
